All the statements of Maximiliano Pullaro, governor of Santa Fe

  • “We are going to continue working intensely to find those responsible for the five attacks. “We are going to go after the intellectual people responsible too, not just the materials.”
  • “In several of the events we are very close to identifying who the material authors were. In some cases, we are working hard to identify the intellectual authors.”
  • “The Government of Santa Fe offers a reward of $10 million for those who provide information in these cases. «They are not going to go unpunished, they are going to go to prison and they are going to be sentenced to life imprisonment.»
  • “We have been faced with acts of urban terrorism. Since December 10 we had very firm policies regarding the prison population, here they were ordered to kill and extort, to manage the illegal business of selling narcotics. That changed and generated different reactions”
  • “Since December 12, I have received death threats. Some with shots of fire and others with notes of intimidation.”
  • “They wanted us to go back with the measures that we carried out with the measures on the penitentiary service.”
  • “It surprises me because they were rival gangs that disputed the power of the territory among themselves. We had information that it could be produced in this way. We were surprised by the habeas corpus of the different criminal organizations with the same lawyers and arguments for us to change the decision.”
  • “The province’s decision is the State’s, we cannot allow criminal organizations to organize. We did not move a single millimeter in this, and even less so with the last letter of this last attack.”
  • “Days ago we had the arrest of two police officers who were drug traffickers. “We have been very tough on the police officers who did that kind of thing.”
  • “In these ninety days we demolished many drug sales points. The law that we passed allows the executive branch to demolish the places where they are being sold. «We are going to continue going very hard against crime, against organized crime, until criminal organizations feel that the State is working together.»
  • “Gradually and little by little, because the problem is serious, we are going to solve the problems that affect the city of Rosario.”
  • “Minister Petri made the Armed Forces available with everything that the law empowers them with at this time, which is very important.”
  • “What is intended is to cause a commotion in society. They can be strongly defined as terrorist attacks. That is why we ask for the intervention of the Federal Forces and the Army that is mobilizing to Rosario.”
  • “There was an extreme reaction due to the loss of power of the business because the criminal groups are detained. “It is a loss of power over their own criminal organizations, which led them to commit these distressing crimes.”
  • “We feel a lot of support from the National Government, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Security. We are committed to moving forward, it is a very difficult and very painful task for good people. It is not a fight of the Government, it is a fight of society.”
  • “A specialized group of Federal Forces is coming to investigate money laundering. That goes for the businessmen who are part of the drug-criminal business. These bands are very marginal for the volume of growth they have. «We must move forward and go fully against those responsible.»
  • “We are going to arrest them and they are going to pay by spending their entire lives in prison. “That is the penalty they will have for this aberrant crime.”
  • “We permanently work with the club authorities, not only because of what the bars represent, but because of what football represents in this city. “We work very well with the authorities.”
  • “Prison control will continue to be as strict as the law allows us. “They cannot organize themselves to carry out major crimes because the leaders are in prison.”
  • “We will be able to determine where the drugs enter the province of Santa Fe.”
  • “The illegal sale of narcotics has two dimensions: one is drug trafficking, where it is probably involved in the waterway and is a federal crime; and the other is drug dealing, which generates these problems of violence.”
  • «Some investigations indicate that drug dealing comes from the province of Buenos Aires or in small planes from Paraguay.»
  • “Moving the Armed Forces to border control allows us to recover highly trained personnel who have given very good results working on prevention and investigation in the interior of the country.”
  • “I have a lot of confidence in Minister Bullrich, I think she has taken the issue as something personal and does not let it slip. “I really appreciate that they came to Santa Fe to discuss the issue.”
  • “If we have strict control of our air and land border, we are going to make it much more difficult for those who come. Then you have to be very tough with those who market it, because they are people who are making society sick and generating irreparable damage.”
  • “They have many 9mm caliber weapons, we had an ammunition leak from what was the central armory of Rosario. The majority of firearm seizures are old weapons. “We have to work hard to get guns off the street.”
  • “The minister is going to ask for extreme measures from the Justice Department that will allow us to have greater levels of control. If Justice understands that this is a difficult time, in the medium term we will have a greater number of weapons seizures.”
  • “First I want to convey a lot of caution, I am putting all the hours of my work into this. These cowardly, cunning attacks carried out by some members of these criminal organizations. «I set up shop alongside our police and the Federal Forces to find those responsible; some are already detained and we are looking for others.»
  • “Rosario has been experiencing above-average levels of violence for years. «I assure the people of Rosario that I am going to leave my life to you so that we can live better and that we can recover levels of peace, which is what we need.»
  • “The reaction we experienced is because they felt cornered”
