The driver responsible for the fatal accident that resulted in the death of the traffic inspector Ubaldo Portela in Huerta Grande was formally charged with “aggravated manslaughter”.

It’s about a 19 year old young man, resident of the town, who is currently in custody and at the disposal of the Cosquín Investigative Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Paula Kelm.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accused drove in the opposite direction, trying to pass a line of cars that was stopped due to the important flow of tourist traffic. However, upon reaching the intersection, he tragically collided with Portela, who was facing away.
