According to the Seremi cadastre of the branch, four establishments were destroyedthus rectifying the initial figure of seven, after the damage to three had already been repaired.
The damaged registration amounts to an approximate number of 580 studentsmainly from Viña del Mar.
«Given this, the technical survey has already begun, identifying the degree of impact for each of these places, in order to be able to establish the temporary replacements, and then move on to the definitive ones,» said the regional presidential delegate today, Sofia Gonzalez.
The Minister of Education, Nicolas Cataldostated that «yesterday we were in Villa Independencia, the school that has the greatest damage of all those that have been damaged, and We signed an agreement with Desafío Levantemos Chile, (thanks to which) we will be able to arrive on time at the beginning of the school year as normally as possible.and that is what we want to achieve in each of the four educational establishments that are most affected.»

Meanwhile, there are other schools that have been enabled as shelters.
According to the official Mineduc calendar, entry to classes is dated for Tuesday March 5.
