Staff of the Investigative Police (PDI) This Tuesday he arrested the mayor of the commune of Bulnes, Guillermo Yéber, for his alleged participation as author of the case Current accounts, which is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office Los Lagos Regional.
This case consists of the signing of agreements between municipalities and the company Global Management SpA, which is investigated for crimes of bribery, bribery, tax fraud and embezzlement of public funds, in which the company offered studies and advice regarding the contracting of financial services.
The information was confirmed by the chief prosecutor, Nadia Espinoza, who indicated that the Economic Crimes Brigade of the PDI of Chillan «proceeded to execute the arrest warrant of the mayor of the commune of Bulnes, Mr. Guillermo Yéber Rodríguez (…), in the aforementioned case of Current Accounts».
Therefore, the communal chief – now as a defendant – will go to detention control during the day tomorrow, Wednesday «at a time to be confirmed,» according to the pursuer.
It should be noted that Yéber is not the only authority associated with this fact, since the mayor of San Ignacio, César Figueroa, It remains in preventive prison after being formalized for similar crimes.
